The 2 Questions

1. As I said, The pledge of allegiance in it's original form is a good idea for public schools. It's the corrupt version of the pledge I object to. Schools should revert back to the actual pledge.

2. In moments of public tragedy a public response is reasonable. A moment of silence is seems like as good a response as I have seen. My objections come from moment of silence for ordinary activities, the start of school, the start of the PTA meeting, or any other normal course of business activities. That is the situation where it is inappropriate and manipulative.
