Dividing the company along net services and internet operating system lines makes sense to me as a solution. Q2 will be an Andy Grove inflection point for the company and its senior management. A true leader should decide on ONE course of action and say ONE thing: GO!!! Eric should end this dual-horse race. It's tearing Novell apart internally and externally. If I were Eric, I'd discard starched tie and blue-suited equivocation/pontification hairsplitting, take on the "Eric The Red" persona, side with Drew Major and the engineers and declare ONE New Direction: ....Net Services.
