Actually, PROLIFE, the offer is now 10 billion dollars. Or is it 10 trillion, I forget. What you are going to do for this contribution is to show me on the U of P site the information you pretended was there. It is a little thing, and yet it means something to me, because, as is often said, the little things say so much. And so clearly. You do not know the difference between fiction and fact, lies and truth. PROLIFE, what is a "back alley abortion"? Few were given in actual alleys, that is true. Do you count motel rooms? Kitchens, bedrooms, rooms with out identities to which terrified women I have known were taken blindfolded? I have known myself enough women who had ugly illegal abortions that I know they were not mythological events. My mother was a nurse, and became a strong advocate for abortion rights as a result of seeing women dye of mutilation and sepsis and hemorrhage in the emergency rooms of Brooklyn Hospital. The poor children of those exhausted women. Sometimes there were eight or ten of them. It was their fate to grow up motherless. You are good at changing the subject. No, I take that back. You are poor at it. It is supposed to be less obvious. Nothing you say means anything. You have proven that. It is, in fact, the only thing you have proved. What is "convenience," PROLIFE? It sounds contemptible. Is it the same as not being "discommoded"? Is it whatever reason for an abortion isn't medically necessary to save the life or health of the mother? PROLIFE! Your proof of the truth of your disinformation is that you saw it in "printed material"? Are you joking? I can produce in minutes "printed material" that says I am the Trixie the Flying Snail. PROLIFE, I fully accept your word that your movement has circulated the lie "for years" that at forty days the embryonic heart cells "output" 1/5 as much energy as does the heart of an adult. I am certain that it is "in printed material." But not in scientific material. Because it is a ludicrous distortion and when you find it in some disreputable, lying "printed material," it will be rationalized with the giant fetus or 2/3 inch high adult or some equally disingenuous construct. Whoever is responsible for disseminating lies like that one is disseminating other lies and distortions, and people like you can't see through them. It really is vile behavior. Of course you have told us why it is fine for your movement to lie. There are many science sites on the internet. Institute a search of legitimate medical sources. Maybe you will find something that confirms what your movement has been circulating "for years," that the embryonic tissue that will become a heart, which is a small part, of course, of the whole embryo, "outputs" all that energy. Especially since the entire embryo is only about 39/100 of an inch long! (My thanks to the U of P.) I am truly amazed that you have the colossal nerve to offer statistics here. You have been proven to offer lies, and have effectually confessed that this is justified to "SAVE lives." Why do you read only the "first line" of what I write to you? What are you afraid of? Why did you refuse to read the article about the neurology of fetuses? Isn't it important to you when they become sentient beings? You must do something about your reading comprehension. There are things in this post you attribute to me that I have not said.
