Just got going today (I'm late). NASDAQ futures down 110, looks like its time for me to dust off my notes on short selling. A sure sign is when the last long time bull throws in the towel the market must be near a bottom. All kidding aside I have a list of stocks(higher priced than I usually buy, $30-80) that I have been waiting a few years for a chance to buy on the cheap. I may get a chance in the next week or so.

Mike, On a longer term perspective, I like to trade in the direction of the trend. I will buy the breaks and sell the rallies. Who can tell me the direction of the market here? I have no Idea. People much smarter than I have no idea. Clearly, there is a very big Gorilla shaking the "Tech Tree" here, and I would be interested to see if he can shake us all out of the tree on a nonger term basis. I am not yet willing to say to buy back into the Techmania, but I am not willing to give up the concept yet, so I am just cowering in my cave for the present. All in cash, save one small position! Preserving cash, and waiting for a better market and better times. Cannot resist the occasional short or long on the S$P 500, but generally playing small and biding time!! Let this shake out then trade the trend! No need to trade every day. Jack!!
