>>Not to mention the aftermath, where investigations into the account makes one wonder about the truthfulness of our government and begins to plant seeds of doubt about Justice in the U.S., especially with this administration.<<

reasonable people have no wonder and talk in terms of trees instead of seeds. they couldn't even pull this off w/o misleading through ignorance or lying (i honestly don't know which and will not presume which).

Ex,

>>Some people may now be beginning to wonder, if you take away my gun, how am I going to protect myself against black booted thugs from the government bashing down my door.<<

I believe that's the core reason for the right to bear arms.

Our modern society is so used to political and social stability that the idea of bearing arms to protect oneself from the government or others seems very extreme or paranoid.

Yet I am willing to bet that if you knock the DOW, Nasdaq and S&P500 down to typical bear market valuations as a result of a crash the economic and social impact will require government action that won't make bearing arms seem quite as extreme as before.

The ability to protect one's self is assumed to be associated with the worst of times - not the best.

For the record I have never even fired a gun. But I think the story of gun control is not as one sided as the popular media would have us believe. There are lots of issues.

Now what's the odds of a crash like that....
