OT,

In one of my posts this morning I used the word, "irreprehensible." One of my favorite threadmates PMd me to tell me there is no word, that I should eliminate the "ir." As it turns out, neither of us gets the last laugh.

I looked it up and "irreprehensible" is indeed a word. However, the "ir" reverses the meaning of "reprehensible" 180 degrees. To be reprehensible is to be subject to blame. To be irreprensible is to be free of blame, the exact opposite of what I thought it meant.

Most important is this: When I wrote that some CEOs' actions are irreprehensible, I should have written that they are reprehensible. Huge difference.
