I am sure Intel and it's OEM's would rather sell the product they are most capable of delivering in volumes high enough to make them each profitable. I do not think that is the case with 1 Ghz right now, so it's a "don't care". AMD's K6-2 is not near 1 Ghz, yet demand for it in the portable space was quite nice and profitable for AMD was'nt it? BTW, where is AMD's version of the SpeedStep? SK
