LG, sorry. I understand we can only "classify" it after it becomes history. I was looking for educated guesses. I was really asking, does this big a gap-down surprise any of the more experienced? BTW, IMO, it would be far too simple to blame this on MSFT. It was too widespread.

I see this as a continuation gap if looking from the highs around 5000. If you squint your eyes real tight and tilt your head just so you can see a consolidation-ish area balanced around the 3600. It's possible to consider this a breakaway gap from that "consolidation mean".
