Today's losses are due to last week's earnings and Goldman taking it off their recommended list.

The breakup proposal of divesting of Office does not seem that bad considering it will take time to implement and go through the appeals process. Restrictions on Windows development would be a disaster and I am glad they are staying away from it.

Office for Solaris etc. was inevitable anyways but it was supposed to happen when Windows2000 starts to dominate the market in this area, IMHO.

If the WSJ report is correct as i suspect it is (Allan Murray mentioned that his sources are reliable), i think the shareholders of MSFT will be winners under this plan.

Finally time to buy--in the next day or so! I am looking forward to putting some real money back in MSFT again.

Dear Mr Hardy:

I have a day off (sort of) because April 15 is history.

I make money working for clients, not watching the ticker,
and would not risk cash money for a quick trick,

BUT you certainly seem to have enough time to read these posts and respond to them.

So,

I AM BLAMING THE GUV FOR HUGE LOSSES IN VALUES OF PERSONAL PROPERTY, FREEDOM, JUSTICE, AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS.
