"CASE CLOSED!" - without a case?

The matter should have been resolved in the courts, starting with getting an order from the courts for the taking.

Custody is something the courts award (at least in other administrations), not armed thugs. But, that is against this administration's way of doing things. Why else would this administration not get a court order?? "Because they didn't need one" is a poor excuse.

The fact is that loooong before Juan Miguel was allowed to even come to the US (by Castro) his uncle applied for asylum for him. His uncle and the Florida relatives know full well the control exerted on JM and his family.

Why else would Castrol take months and months to allow the father and his family to come here? Because he knew the danger of losing more of his "countrymen".

I am NOT saying who I feel the boy should be with, just that whoever he is with is an issue for the courts, not for administration henchmen and storm troopers.

recustody reverts back to the father
This is funny. In this country (the U.S.A.) father's rights are trampled daily by the courts, especially "revenue and recovery" who "enforce" child support, but not visitation.

But all of a sudden the government cares about the father, right?
Ha.
