My apologies for not citing a link.

I thought this was breaking news since I heard it on ZDNet's "On Computers" radio show where the broadcaster spent a full fifteen minutes ranting about what he would do with 3.8 billion.

I listened carefully and he distinctly said Steve Ballmer and lauded the "perfect timing" on selling the stock before the crash. I can only speculate that the braodcaster did their homework since this is a world-syndicated broadcast.

You are correct that Paul Allen is more likely to sell shares, but he usually cashes in only a few hundred million at a time.

The echo of 3.8 billion was distinct.

Anyone out there have any news? I admit I cannot find any links with this info, not even on ZDNet.com.
