I am so impressed! But feel that I must warn you (but mostly praise you) your sons are well on their way to becoming TROUBLEMAKERS of the worst sort. You must be prepared for adults to be very offended at their activities.
They will be maligned by threatened teachers and defensive administrators who dislike being confronted with their own inferior intellect or challenged by legitimate viewpoints that might mean they are WRONG. Or worse, that they're silly.
I think it's very hard to be a bright student nowadays. Or maybe it always was, I don't know. The powers that be make it so much more rewarding to be mediocre. I truly think a lot of the top ten (academic) students in a class are more likely to be boringly predictable and unquestioning and to work very hard meeting the teacher's requirements without argument. Give me the Nicks and Bens who are ready to offend if they think it should be said.
Course their mother isn;t exactly a verbal wuss.

HI! I have to agree with Nick. Completely. It's getting cringe-ably painful and embarrassing living in this country. However, I find it less painful, if one remains ignorant and hides and doesn't turn on their TV set without a purpose.

Like, to watch South Park.
