It's far less scary than 1997! That has been the type of all out puke I have been looking for. That to me remains the benchmark for panic.

It's interesting. My perception is the reverse. I remember thinking at the time (especially in 98) that while the severity of the correction was disconcerting, I had the sense that the overall economy was very sound and that stocks would recover. I still believe that we have a sound economy, but I also see more concerns on the horizons with labor, energy, and interest rates that have the potential to throw the economy into an inflationary cycle. I hope I am 100% wrong.
