I agree about taking stands against injustice, but too often there seems to be two viewpoints, each with some validity, rather than an obvious right and a definite wrong. Don't you think that in taking stands of any sort, it is incumbent on us to do so with the understanding that we may not be in possession of all the facts and that the other side will have some excellent points that we need to listen to with more open intent than that of finding the reason they must be wrong? We often shoot from the hip when WE could be the wrong ones.
I am not talking of Reno- who I think delayed far too long-
and was in possession of many more facts than we. her job demanded decision. I'm thinking more about all the people going on and on about the case without all the facts, or acknowledging only what serves their own agenda, like that Noonan article, or leaping to believe a conspiracy theory based on two pictures that might or might not be accurate.

We need to establish enough foundation for our beliefs, put enough thought into them, that we aren't in danger of causing more harm by standing on flimsy ignorance.
