You're demonstrating your own incompetence with your rantings.

Why are you even bothering to post here? You have nothing of substance to add to the Gilder discussion.

Anthony, in Gilder's defense, he recommended JDSU at $3 5/8, NT at $23, CIEN at $8 9/16, QCOM at $4 3/4, SUNW at $13 3/4, TI at $11 7/8...... shall I go on? (All prices split-adjusted). XLA, TERN, and a few of his other more recent picks certainly got ahead of themselves in Feb.-Mar. of this year, but so did almost every other speculative high-tech I know of. Is Gilder to blame now for the whole sell-off?

If you got burned by buying a new Gilder pick the day it was announced, then suck it up like a man, take your losses and quit whining. Gilder was pounding the table for QCOM in 1996 and 1997, and JDSU in 1997 and 1998. Are you upset that you only discovered the newsletter in 2000?

Gilder provides a service to those who are willing to pony up a few hundred bucks for his insights into emerging technologies. His track record is not 100%, but is a hell of a lot better than anyone else I know of. The fact that his picks now move the market is further testament to his time-proven record.

What in god's name is your beef?

<should I go on>

Please, by all means! As an employee in telecommunications, I'd love to hear it. For example, why did GSTRF utilize CDMA vs GSM or TDMA?

Most of his investors think past lunch-time in terms of their investing. Don't think many of them are going into hysterics with this down-turn. And, you have no idea who you are calling a "dork."
