I'm sorry: it means good till cancelled. I used to be so impatient, if something didn't fill I'd change it so it was no use using anything but day orders. But a couple of friends have been using Good Till Cancelled orders to pick up companies they already have or that they like but don't have yet. The prices they put in are "ridiculous" but lately that has not mattered!

It's easier with Brown&Co than with Fidelity: Fidelity has a "that price is too far from the current price" feature.
