Woodpeckers are good at picking out the infested trees. I wouldn't want a chunk of peckerwood coming down on one of my my my vehicles.

Yesterday we were showing all the baby fruit to my mother, and she noticed that the tallest tree in the backyard has several large rotten spots close to the ground. I don't know why I never noticed that, because we've already taken down a couple of small bad trees, and there is a really bad tree that's on the other side of the property line we've been keeping an eye on. The front two thirds of our lot are typical suburban lot, and then the last 60 or so feet are just woods. The tallest tree is the one the woodpecker flew to. Now I think I need to get a professional tree person to treat it, it's so tall if it fell it would do a lot of damage to the house, maybe 70 ft tall?
