Barb, thanks...well,in this case the only evidence i have been privy to was the article to which i still haven't found the link. obviously there are ways though to get evidence that LEH a) upgraded VERT and b) sold it's own VERT shares into the upgrade. i remember they said in the article that their proprietary trading and analysis departments work at arms length from each other. sure they do...:) anyway, i'll continue looking into this. i don't think it's the only case of brazen rape and pillage out there. regards, hb
