This idea that Cubans are isolated is a total lie. They can trade with any country in the world except USA. No one wants to do business there because anyone who tries gets screwed by the communists and they lose their investment.

Castro could live for another 20 years.

Thanks for the reply, I agree with almost all of your post. Person to person contact transcends governments, even corrupt ones.

However, I disagree somewhat with your last sentence. I do believe that reconcillation between Cuban Americans and Cubans will be key in the post-Castro era. It's it they who will leed Cuba to democracy. The abuse of that community today by the federals will be IMO counter-productive in the future.
