"Did you read about the guy who parlayed $4500 into 2.3 million in a year, and lost most of it? He still took enough out to buy a house and stuff, but he kept most of it in. You know who paid for his house? The mutual fund owners who bought his stock and are now suffering mightily"

Is this bad that he sold out at maybe just a 1000% profit?

Glenn, perhaps the longs are now doing what many shorts do when the going gets tough--- they stay away from the
message boards because they don't want to get more despondent. But there is no way that there aren't a lot of
Amazon longs.

I agree. My point really was stock operator's post was terrible. When I was short and stock moved against me, I stayed vocal. That is my personality although staying short at that time, was a bad idea;-)
