Myself i would have led the material goodies with computers and net connections, since it's really all about education ... also there's a beneficial diversionary effect ... i mean look how little real trouble Robert Barry and Znotal! are causing for the world when they're whacking on only keyboards ... this is the future of man, and the Raytheons and General Dynamics better wake up, i tell ya.

But yeah, don't kids like shiny things ... comic books would be good, mexican comic books, there's an infinite variety and they're great, they poke fun at everybody.

"Even so, blame for Saturday's pre-dawn raid should be placed where it
belongs: with the relatives' intransigence, the willingness of some to make
political use of Elian's plight, and the danger that volatile emotions could lead
to violence.

People, being people, always make the wrong choices don't they. Better to keep them dumb and poor.
