oh yes, that's quite possible. it goes to show that a government of an independent African state can go off on a tangent of arbitrariness and illegality whenever it suits the purpose of those in power. naturally the racial aspect of the Zimbabwe situation has investors in SA stocks worried...the fear being that eventually SA might sink into a similar morass.
to that i can only say bunkum...maybe the situation will be different 10 or 20 years down the road, but first of all the current ANC leadership is actually a rather moderate and democratic bunch, and secondly if things should really go haywire, there's always the South African army, which could take that country over within 48 hours if need be. no way is anybody getting to the mining houses of SA ...NO WAY.

so there...buying opportunity.
