JFQ,I stand corrected. All I knew about were the officers involved. Lee was, or had been, the head man at West Point, and I read that officers under his command at the raid were recent graduates. I would not have expected Marines to be under the command of an Army officer. Not that I doubt you, but I will reread the account for my own edification. I don't like to make such mistakes but, am not infallible. ~H~

Yesterday I read a column about a study on how incompetent people don't think they are and if you tell them they are they won't believe you. And it was so interesting I wanted to tell you about it, but now I can't find it.
I cna't even remember where I read it.
Which I guess makes me incompetent.
But I already think I am, so maybe I'm really not, which is reassuring.
There was also something about incompetent people actually thinking they're smarter than everyone else.

Dan has always said that he goes through days just hoping no one catches on that he doesn't know what he's doing, which means that he probably does know, and is smart, too.

Of course if the people doing the study are incompetent and stupid, then the whole study could be wrong and the incompetent people running the world should be.

I wish I could find the article. I don't think I did a very competent job telling you about it.
