<Are you dim witted or something>

Thank you for the kind explanation.

<nobody used because the hardwired solution performed better and only cost a few bucks.>

But, uh, duh, what does the chip cost to manufacture in a DSL modem? I really don't know but here I was going to guess, what, a few bucks?

Kash, <Intel announced a 28-56K solution that never worked and nobody used because the hardwired solution performed better and only cost a few bucks.>

Pardon me for being "dim witted," but what's the 56K soft-modem solution currently being used in 810 motherboards with the AMR card? Is that Intel's solution or some third-party solution? Either way, it seemed to work fine in the last 810 system I built for a friend.

kash, re: "Try and figure out the details before posting a bunch of BS in typical Intel idiot fashion."

And I didn't think you were a jack ass. I'm wrong again!
