GSM Expansion for Etilsalat Brings $16 Million to Motorola
4/24/2000 Motorola Network Solutions Sector Inc. (NSS; Arlington Heights, IL) has will provide GSM networking equipment and services valued at about $16 million to Etisalat (Dubai, United Arab Emirates) as part of a network expansion project.
Work will start immediately in the northern United Arab Emirates to deploy Motorola Motorola NSS? Horizonsystems infrastructure solutions to provide additional coverage and capacity on both a macrocellular (wide-area) and microcellular (high density defined area) basis. The work is expected to be completed towards the end of this year.

In addition to the above expansion, Motorola NSS will provide Etisalat with a GSM Rapid Deployment Vehicle, effectively a complete mobile capacity and coverage solution that will enable targeted coverage almost immediately where extensive network traffic is anticipated.

<ot>re: Analysts. I am never impressed with H&Q, despite its reputation of being tech oriented. CSFB actually has a strong track record overall. Of course, GS used to be able to carry weight, but its GS conducts, from Dear Abby's comment to its handling of World Online, will likely to leave short term scar. People like Blodget and Meeker may move stocks, but ultimately, I'd rather see the justications and not the firm/person

Btw, does anyone know how CSFB rate MOT?

best, Bosco
