when a double bottom has low volume, stick your nose in

a double bottom is important
the first impulse establishes a critical level initially
usually or oftentimes it happens with high emotional level
some then believe the selling was overdone, so they buy
but as quickly as it dropped, it quickly rises
so easy profits are available for those brave who stepped up
upward momentum is very hard to find, immediately after such drops
so it slides back down with less interest and lower volume
then less experienced investors get worried and sell
but the lower volume on the second time down is meaningful
buyers then wait until the cheapest price becomes available
they nibble and nibble, thus making the double bottom softer
eventually bigger buyers lose patience, then begin buying

relationship between double bottoms and trends: uncertain
if a trendline tilts upward, sometimes it intersects with the second bottom leg nearby

correlated and antithetic stocks deserve their own missives at a more didactic and leisurely time
