Bob <Somebody could have, but didn't. Lotus and Borland ignored the Mac GUI and were late with Windows and allowed Microsoft to leverage their GUI skills into a dominant position on Windows apps. Of course, Microsoft then put the Mac stuff on the back burner.> Gates and company have been the consummate strategists -- remarkable in their business achievements. It is a shame to see MSFT digging itself deeper and deeper into this hole. Their strategic insights failed to take into account one thing -- the government might actually have the will and ability to enforce the law.
