Hopefully, the WI (when issued) shares will also be listed in our accounts separately so we will be able to sell the shares (to be issued in June) if we need to. This will negate the scenario where only 1/3rd of Softbank shares were going to be available to trade for the two months from now until the end of June. I guess that rationale for Softbank being forced to rise because so few shares are available to buy is out the window. Softbank was down in Europe mid day to 230 euros or $214 US. That is still higher than the US close yesterday of $163.33 (split adjusted) and even a little higher than the close in Tokyo of just under $200. I predict that US trading will open with a $190 bid and and a $220 asked.

BTW, I did get this from Softbank Investor Relations:

Mr. Fujinaka,

SOFTBANK shares began trading at the split adjusted price today, 25 April 00.

Regards,
Shawn M. Sehy

Subject: Stock split

It is being widely reported that there will be a 3:1 stock split in April , 2000. Is this true?
