An incredible tour de force. He manages to give the subtle suggestion of sexual desire by selling the sizzle--not the steak. One sets aside his writing feeling titillated...but without being able to put a finger on the reason.

Thank you, Druss, for bringing the seminal work of this author to the most appropriate catch basin of an audience. Buck W. Heat has a style that manages to be provocative, yet without sacrificing respect for the gentle taste of the reader. This belies the brutish assertions of more storied authors, that aggressive and explicit sex is required to expose more serious ideas to the public interest. Mr. Heat's success makes it clear that the public wants ideas no thicker than a small pancake. He has the simplicity of a confused lapin who has just been asked over for Easter dinner, and it is this simplicity that endears him to the reader in some wonderfully atavistic and primal way...
