I believe that Buffett will give all of his money to charity when he dies. I've read numerous places that he is against the idea of inherited wealth, and that his kids won't get the money. So even if he isn't doing it now, I think that it will be given to charity eventually.

I have no idea what LE plans to do with his money.

And maybe I just don't like BG, but my feeling is that he has given money away because of people in his family, not because he's some big-hearted guy. His parents are involved with charitable causes in Seattle and have been for a long time. I don't really know anything about Gates, but he never gave the impression that he was much concerned about this soft of thing in anything I saw or read about him.

Warren Buffet is a tightwad and has given very little for charitable purposes

It has been noted many times that Buffett intends to give over 99% of his net worth to charity after his death. He has stated many, many times he does not believe in passing the bulk of an estate to heirs and creating what he calls an "ovarian lottery" where the winning ticket is very rich parents.
