Dave, forgetting the ONLY reason AMD is making huge profits is because Intel has continued with their errors. Can't bank on that forever. Between Merced and Rambus, it appears that we may well be able to count on Intel screwing up for the indefinite future. Their poor decisions from the past are so deeply rooted in the company culture by now that they may never be able to extract themselves until the current management is fired. They designed a great processor in Willamette, and then chose to cripple it with expensive, long latency memory. Scumbria
