don't you see how this administration and the media
No, I don't see that changes in society are the fault of this administration or of the media. Sure they have an influence, in particular the TV emphasis on visual impact over substance. This biggest reason society, particularly in the United States, has changed is that there is increased mobility and communication which has brought new ideas into the formerly relatively isolated communities. It's ludicrous to think that if only you could resurect Ronald Reagan or something people would stay down on the farm and quit watching TV. The fact is that things change over time and society must cope with that or risk having institutions that are unable to cope.
