I've purchased 10 DELL Laptops, PC's, etc... in the last 3 years and never had any from the factory hardware problems... The modem of my Father in Laws computer got fried by a lightening strike. DELL had a replacement delivered to them and installed at no cost the next day...

Rick, if they haven't solved the problem by now, tell them to send you a new computer. Don't stop hassling them until they do (and believe me, you really need to hassle them).

RE: Kemble, I've talked to four tech support personnel since my computer died thursday. Who else should I call? The computer is covered by warranty.

IMO I'd ask for someone above them...
