just no longer speak for themselves.

Not when the stock goes from $72 to $18 and then from $35 to $16 again. Great efforts at increasing the stock price those were. The naked calls, however, were juicy, as well as the long plays in between. I am very glad that there is a core group of die hard E*Group fans to support the activity of the traders.

While few may deny that E*Trade has excellent future possibilities, Wall St. has always been quite short-sighted, and it seems that many are assuming that the two quarters ahead will be doom-and-gloomy. Personally i believe the bear talk lately has been quite useful, but i don't see it having a major impact on E*Trade's profitability. Our next day on the time-line is May 8 when Telebank disappears and E*TradeBank rises from the ashes. Telebank customers have all been warned within the last several days to change theor mode of access.
