This year vs. previous years.

I would like to point out that this year is like non of the previous 5 years and maybe back more than that I haven't checked...as far as market action.
Can the individual investors sustain a lengthy summer rally on their own?
I bring to the tread that the individual investor may not need to hold up the market for the summer. I believe that fund managers have not taken a bearish stance one equities. They continue to hold and buy them. This recent correction has provided great opportunities to get some of the best names at much discounted prices. This correction also gives us a relative point, much needed support, to base buying off of that is closer than area of last summer at the 2300 to 2900 level. Now everyone can feel comfortable about their position that has lots of upside potential and less downside potential, a good risk/reward ratio. This in turn gives us the needed foundation to be bulls all over again.

I just don't see this year being like any of the previous so I would hesitate in saying that the summer or next fall will be anything like we have seen before. Tech fund managers probably won't take the summer off because they may a miss 30% dip that doesn't come around very often.

I can't predict the future of the markets, but I can observe what is happening now and change my strategy best capitalize off of it..

george gilder on lptha
I got this off the avnx board on gilder site, direct from george gilder
Thanks for the cue to Lightpath. I had not focused on their link to Avanex. Collimators tend to be a standard product, but the relationship with AVNX is definitely worth researching.

someone had asked him if he had known about the relationship between avnx and lptha, this was his response,
now if he researches it further, and mentions it in his next report......well we can dream cant we? its just a matter of time anyway on lptha, it will be "too hot to handle" sometime this year
