from earningswhisper:

" The company most likely to beat the consensus estimate on Tuesday is Nortel Networks (NT). Last quarter Nortel beat the estimates by twelve cents, which represented more than 50% earnings growth over the same period a year ago. Revenue also increased 21% over the same period a year ago. This quarter won't be the blow-out Nortel reported last quarter, but will still be strong. The consensus earnings estimate is $0.19, but look for Nortel to beat by a penny or two. The Earnings Whisper number is $0.21. "

Inder,

EPS should all have been reported in US dollars and using US GAAP this quarter, so the $0.23 number should be accurate.

The block selling during the day may be institution expecting the price to be temporarily depressed due to the issuing of NT shares to BCE shareholders.

Let's see what the CC has be say.
