The gentleman's primary objective appears to be the establishment of an Islamic monetary system. The e-dinar appears to be a small part of the proposed program, with e-gold merely cited as an example.

Hello, Lorne, sorry I failed to respond earlier to your question.

I'm very much aware of the Islamic feelings toward Gold.

Their desire to make it Koran-correct does not suprise me. If you get a lead on what it looks like or when their "version" is launched, I'd surely appreciate a URL or copy paste alert. I'm not too sure the Koran will permit virtual gold though...
