It's not an issue of bandwidth; if it were, RDRAM may be the better choice than DDR for servers, considering how easy it is to gang up four RDRAM channels in parallel. Rather, it's other factors that make DDR more attractive for servers than RDRAM. I already went over some of those reasons earlier today.

Has it occurred to you that servers are getting faster with each new generation of processor. Unfortunately, it looks like DDR is not going to get any faster. But its ok with me if AMD does not upgrade its servers(wait a minute they do not have any to speak of). <LOL>
