Thanks, Ken. I just ran System File Checker (again) and it comes up clean. It was worth a try, anyway. Ran the Registry Checker while I was at it. Nadda.

I'm already running NT5 at home on 2 machines, and I'm preparing to install it in my network server there as well. Once that's done, only my laptop will be W98. It's the most important box of all, thus the need for reliability and stability.
