Same story... another rendition. Note in the last
paragraph that the judge was appointed by Slick. I guess
we'll soon see if he's a Slick loyalist.

Federal Judge Orders Emergency Hearing on Elian Case
in Washington

NewsMax.com
April 25, 2000 - 5:40pm EST

Federal Judge James Robertson has ordered an emergency hearing in federal
court in Washington at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday April 26. The hearing comes
after Judicial Watch's filing earlier this week petitioning the court for the
immediate release under the Freedom of Information Act of all Department of
Justice documents relating to the Elian Gonzalez case.

The Judicial Watch suit for the documents comes in the wake of disclosures
made by independent mediators, including Aaron Podhurst, who claim that
good faith negotiations were ongoing at the time of the raid. Reno has claimed
otherwise in justifying her decision to send federal marshals into Gonzalez's
home. Larry Klayman, chairman and chief counsel of Judicial Watch, said, "The
judge is being very responsive."

Klayman noted that Judge Robertson is a Clinton appointee who had
previously dismissed a second round of indictments against Webster Hubbell
brought by Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr.

Today, the Elian Gonzalez story was on the 2nd page of today's newspaper. Most likely, tomorrow it will be on the 3rd page and so forth. By the time of the invasion next week by the marines and U.S. marshalls to remove the protestors from the beaches of the Island of Viequez SE of the island of Puerto Rico, perhaps we won't hear about Elian, his dad, his extended family nor anything else. Thank God. Th3re will be even better stories on the Viequez' beaches by persons who have more compelling stories of truth, justice, peace and the american way of life.

>>Honorable James Robertson of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia

This is not good. As I recall, Robertson has been repeatedly slapped down and overturned at the Court of Appeals because he has rather blatantly used his court to protect Clinton.

I recall that reports have indicated that Robertson was and is a highly partisan Dem, appointed by Clinton.
