Stansbury Holdings Corporation is a development stage mining company. In June 1999, the Company acquired a vermiculite mine and mill near Dillon, in southwestern Montana, and has begun production and shipping of vermiculite concentrate from the deposit. Stansbury also owns mining claims covering one of the largest known undeveloped reserves of vermiculite in North America, near Hamilton, in southwestern Montana.
The Company is negotiating to increase its vermiculite holdings through acquisition of other vermiculite properties, including an active vermiculite mining operation in northern Brazil. The Company also is seeking other business opportunities in manufacturing and electrical power facilities in order to develop revenue streams and to provide the necessary capitalization for development of mining and mill operations.
Of far greater importance to the future of Stansbury is the position in the vermiculite industry now commanded by Stansbury through its International Vermiculite affiliate:
(1) Stansbury owns two of the four major vermiculite resources in the western United States, and with its affiliate holds a substantial number of mining claims in the third resource, in Nevada.
(2) These properties are expected to become the largest source of supply to the North American vermiculite industry over the next 24 months.
(3) Stansbury, through International Vermiculite, has taken steps to introduce value added products into its vertical production processes, by the planned acquisition of an exfoliation plant in California.
With these achievements solidly in place, Stansbury management intends to pursue an aggressive business plan through its affiliate International Vermiculite, in order to quickly establish a dominant global position in the vermiculite industry.
The past year (fiscal year 1999 and calendar year 1999) has been marked by a number of achievements:
Stansbury returned to a fully reporting status as a 12(g) company under the SEC rules; Stansbury undertook the acquisition of the Dillon Mine and Mill; Stansbury eliminated over $4,000,000 in debt; Stansbury entered into the International Vermiculite joint venture. For the convenience of the shareholders and the investing public, Stansbury in 1999 activated a large and frequently updated website, under the URL stansburyholdings.com.
Links from that site tie into SEC filings, such as 10-K's and 10-Q's, financial statements, press releases, as well as into vermiculite industry sites. Photographs of properties and the progress of development at the properties are shown on the site.
I encourage you to visit the site frequently, to keep yourself well informed on the status of your investment, and upon forthcoming activities.
Stansbury Holdings' Projects
Dillon Vermiculite Project The Dillon Vermiculite Project comprises 64 unpatented lode mining claims (1,280 acres) and a concentration mill, located in Beaverhead County, Montana, about twenty miles southeast of the town of Dillon. The mill has a design capacity of 30,000 tons of concentrate production per year.
This project is owned by Dillon Vermiculite Limited LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Stansbury Holdings Corporation, and is operated under the International Vermiculite joint venture, of which Stansbury is a 50% principal.
Proven and probable ore reserves in the vicinity of the mill exceed 600,000 tons. An Environmental Assessment was completed on the Project in April, 1999. Currently, the mine and mill are in operation, with ore being shipped to customers.
Hamilton Vermiculite Project The Hamilton Vermiculite Project, located about fifteen miles east of Hamilton, Montana, in the Skalkaho mountains, covers 96 unpatented lode mining claims and 10 unpatented millsite claims (approximately 1700 acres).
Two deposits are located on the property. Each has been drilled for exploration purposes and each contains a defined orebody, which together total a proven reserve in excess of 6,000,000 tons of ore.
