The general public doesn't drive the market. Institutions control the majority of the float for CSCO, EMC, MSFT, INTC, SUNW, etc. Any analysis that is rooted in pop psychology and pre-supposes that the majority investors in the leading tech stocks are blindly placing bets, casino-style, is IMO wrong. There are lots of mixed messages in the financial media, partly because the financial community makes money when people buy and sell. But the best move for most individuals is to buy companies like Cisco, hold them for the long haul, save money every month, and add to positions on the dips.

Re: "Look at IBM current revenue 87 bil. Growth rate 7% P/E 25. It isn't easy....CSCO shareholders will find this out the hard way."

IBM is going no where fast because of incredibly poor management at all senior levels. You are comparing the two ends of the spectrum. Gerstner vs. Chambers?? Give me a break.

I was listening to a William Fleckenstein interview on my bloomberg terminal to today...he was saying the most investors have been buying stocks for the last few years because they are going up, not because they understand fundamentals.

How many points wrong has Fleckenstein been on INTC? Oh, I'm sorry. You guys are never wrong, just early. How many points early has he been on INTC?
