Are you demand
metered? I would suspect not ... but you may be ...

Tippiet,

I will PM with more detail when I can make more time. I am demand metered just as a matter of interest.

Also, you mention that your AC load is increased due to lighting. I think you should look into the advantages of
flourescents. Incandescents not only increase your heating load, but they waste energy, too. I am installing compact
flourescents at home in most fixtures as the old incandescents go out. They cost more but they last longer and use
about 1/4 the energy and do not add to the heat load.

This is one of those "games" that the best lighting efficiency to "see" is not the best lighting. We use flourescents using the "white light" lamps thoughout. In addition, we use spts/floods using halogen incandescents. The reason being is the presentation of the merchandise in question. "Regualar" flourescents have a yellow cast as does "regular" incandescents. That is very bad in my business since the more yellow a diamond the less its brilliance and the less its value. I believe, through the use of very experienced architechs, I have the best lighting possible to sell my product. Changing demand via change of light source would be counterproductive in this case although your point about effinciencies and heat would normally be important. I must focus on the provide that can deliver the needed power for least amount of money. Any changing in lighting to drop costs would likely cause some drop in revenue and profits.

I will do my research again and PM you on the possible plans.

Glenn
