LRR, While I may be passionate in my beliefs, I am not an ogre. With the brevity of most posts on the threads, it is quite easy to make inferences that are wrong because of lack of sufficient information. Maybe we will be a bit better at avoiding that in the future.

I have never felt that the Ten Commandments should be construed as the policy of the school. By the same token, no other credo should be considered such either. Too much has been made of posting a short list of dos and don'ts, so all should probably be moving on to more pressing problems. The first four Commandments are to solidify our Faith in, and commitment to, God. If one has no faith in God, they would be, naturally, immaterial to him. I choose to consider them a basis for my Faith but, can not and will not try to force any other to do the same. All such insistence would do is repel that other person. That would be a lose-lose situation and I do not like to participate in futility. ~H~
