I wonder if we can get the Fool to address the issues you have raised and to update some of the comments which are on the Fool Ratio pages to at least present some various opinions on using the correct calculation in a variety of circumstances? fool.com As you mentioned, even the 'professional' analysts get uncomfortable trying to calculate a growth rate for more than 12 months, let alone 5 years. We see plenty of EPS revision estimates on almost quarterly if not weekly basis it seems in the types of investments we are all holding. How many of them are accurate or could be accurate in a growth company such as JDS Uniphase? BB
