Dear Dan, It is clear that the founders of this country desired people to be free to worship God (not free from worship). The democracy set up allows for majority rule and the fact is that Christianity has been the majority (or at least the most vocal) input in this country. To me it is the many people that make a country Christian, the founders were only a small part of the picture. Recently there has been a change in the majority influence and the results are obvious. Gay marriages have now been accepted and abortions are legal, can you imagine these things happening in the 50's? However, God allows them to pursue this course for their lives, and while Christians are not the majority in vote we have to live with it. The morals and integrity the founders desired for this Nation are slipping away and as we all know when morals corrupt the society falls. Have a great day, Nancy
