that most options expire worthless,
I think this is true, but misleading. Most options are closed out before expiration. The majority of the ones that are left expire worthless.

Just to qualify, I wasn't bragging, as I probably at one point was up 800% in a few months, and that definitely was due to the luck of a rare moment--options & Qualcomm--and through my own mistakes, holding too long etc, and mostly the market of recent times, I am somewhat quashed :-) Still and all, it's been worth it.
