I have given up on this company. They have good strategy but poor execution. My hope is that someone buys them out. I would gladly trade my shares in NOVL for CSCO, SUNW, ORCL or any other company that understands how to market their technology. By themselves, they will drop the ball again and again.

<<The best thing you can do Waldy is mount a campaign to get Eric Schmidt and the BOD to authorize the formation of a new Internet Operating System division within Novell.>>

Hmmmm...... that idea sounds strangely familiar.

jww

Paul, thank you for giving me that much credit, hell I have not figured out how to type a response without having my sentences always "wraping around" A company like Novl. does not die, it just lingers in the arena coughing, as new investors find their way into the web spun by the evil bastards that have become an American legend...the Wall Street brokers/analysts that have nothing to say, but say it in print, radio and T.V. and now the likes of the internet and SI/R. Bull offering forums for venting more bullshit that has very little, if any impact, on the days price of any stock (that has original value). I will stand on my several earlier statements. 1. Eric is over his head in the swamp fighting alligators totally forgeting his job was to drain the swamp! 2. He may have a PHD. and an excellent technical track record, but boy wonders have NEVER turned billion dollar companies around in any appreciable manner! Where in his young life has he ever kicked ass, won some, lost some? 3. In most corporate scenarios engineers with PHD's are not ass kickers/dramatic leaders. Lee Iaccoca was an exception, not many others that I am aware of in recent times. 4. Regarding "money.com investing" article on Novl. well, Eric Moskowitz has to write an article daily or weekly about something.....so he picked Novl. the analysis is standard bullshit! Replace the name Novl in the article with any other name that has dropped 40% from its recent high and you will find it dosnt matter! Too bad I didnt save all the similar articles written about Novl. 4-5 yrs ago when Olde and articles convinced me that at 21 Novl was just around the corner from 50 dollars. 5. I ask again, where was all the contrarian interest just prior to and at the annual meeting? Where are all the gutsy investors that would buy 10 shares and raise hell at annual meetings by challenging CEO's and Boards? Like a fool, sometime ago I did send suggestions that you and others have posted to 2 board members after calling Novl. to get their names and addresses. Not surprising, no response. Today, I hold 1000 shares at a cost of 23, have cancelled my standing buy of 15 1/8 and put an order in "good til cancelled" of 9 1/16....and if this technical lead balloon known as Novl, ever reaches 25 I am gone! The technical product is boring to me.......the corporate activity is as exciting as a bucket of sand and "woulda coulda shoulda" doesnt count anymore. N.B. Just for the record, at least 20 yrs of my total work career was working with, Aero,Elect.,Mechanical, Hydraulic and Design/Test engineers. So I have a pretty good idea of how things happen!@$%$##@!, Give me a couple of guys like Fred Smart and twenty assistants to keep the two Freds focused, and I think I could achieve any objective desired! So, again thanks for offering the challenge, but no thanks. I'll continue to work on the "wrap around sentences" problem! Regards, Waldy
