The offer you proposed (to lift the embargo when free elections are held) has been the position of the U.S. government for some time now. I don't think it's anything new that President Clinton needs to propose. Anyhow, simply being a dictatorship hasn't stopped the U.S. from trading with and having normal relations with countries in the past: Chile, Phillipines, Iran. Even today we are buddies with and trade with the biggest dictatorship on the planet, communist China. Doesn't our cozy relationship with the tyrannical communist China bother some of you right wingers, or is it somehow justified due to the size of their markets?
