Dwight, yes the technology is identical. Both were developed by Tim Slatter, Microvision bought the rights to the MEMS scanner for applications relating to display. XROS bought the rights relating to data switching. HOWEVER, Microvision has made many improvements on the basic design, there were earlier concerns with edge smearing and mirror flatness, not to mention other improvements in regard to syncronisation and timing. These improvements would also be useful for the system that XROS uses or for that matter any other optical switching player (JDSU, LU, CISCO,NORTEL....) I would think that even though Microvision is precluded from using the technology for data applications, there IP relating to improvements would not have the same restrictions, I would be curious what Zeev thinks about this.
